In observance of International Women’s Day (March 8, 2021), the Good Governance Studies Institute–Organization (GGSIO) launched the nationwide online campaign #1000Images1000Messages4Women to promote women’s empowerment and inclusive civic dialogue.
The campaign aimed to collect and amplify messages from individuals across Afghanistan in support of women’s rights, leadership, and meaningful participation in public life. Participants included youth leaders, civil society activists, professionals, academics, and public figures who shared their perspectives and messages of solidarity.
All contributions were published on GGSIO’s official social media platforms, creating a digital advocacy space dedicated to raising awareness and encouraging constructive dialogue on gender equality.
Through this initiative, GGSIO sought to:
- Promote public awareness of women’s rights and leadership
- Encourage positive narratives supporting women’s participation
- Strengthen civic engagement around gender equality
- Amplify community voices in support of inclusive governance
The campaign reflects GGSIO’s commitment to advancing women’s empowerment as a fundamental pillar of good governance, social inclusion, and sustainable peace.
