Mr. Ahmad Etemadi, Executive Director of the Good Governance Studies Institute–Organization (GGSIO), accompanied by members of the Institute’s leadership team, held a formal meeting with Mr. Mohammad Karim Atal, Secretary of the Wolesi Jirga (House of Representatives), along with several Members of Parliament representing the provinces of Kandahar, Helmand, Zabul, and Uruzgan.
The meeting focused on GGSIO’s strategic programs and activities in the areas of good governance, peacebuilding, and youth engagement. The Institute presented its initiatives aimed at strengthening civic participation, promoting sustainable peace, and empowering young leaders at both national and provincial levels.
Both sides emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts to address governance challenges and support peace initiatives in southern Afghanistan. It was mutually agreed that GGSIO would expand its peace and youth programs in Kandahar, Helmand, Zabul, and Uruzgan in close coordination with the respective parliamentary representatives.
This meeting reflects GGSIO’s commitment to institutional partnership and constructive engagement with national legislative bodies to enhance program effectiveness and provincial outreach.
