The workshop formed part of a broader peacebuilding initiative implemented across multiple government ministries to strengthen institutional capacity and promote social cohesion within public sector structures.
Distinguished speakers included:

- Mr. Shakib Sharifi, Director General of Planning and Program Coordination, Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock
- Mr. Fazlullah Faiz, Acting Director of Coordination with Defense, Civil, Security Institutions and Prison Affairs, State Ministry for Peace

In the technical session, Mr. Abdulnasir Folad, Peace Master Trainer and Conflict Resolution Specialist, facilitated an interactive discussion on the core concepts of peace, conflict, and violence. He also emphasized the strategic role of the Ministry of Agriculture in contributing to peacebuilding through inclusive rural development, equitable service delivery, and strengthening social trust in local communities.

This initiative reflects GGSIO’s long-term commitment to institutionalizing peacebuilding practices within Afghanistan’s public sector through structured, program-based interventions.
