The President and members of the Board of Directors of the Good Governance Studies Institute–Organization (GGSIO), together with representatives of the Institute’s Green Governance Department, held a formal meeting with Mr. Shah Zaman Maiwandi, Director General of the National Environmental Protection Agency (NEPA).
The meeting focused on key environmental challenges facing Afghanistan and explored practical policy-oriented solutions to address them. Both parties engaged in discussions regarding the development of long-term and strategic cooperation between GGSIO and NEPA in support of environmental governance reform and sustainable development.
During the meeting, Mr. Ahmad Etemadi, Executive Director of GGSIO, presented a series of environmental policy proposals developed by the Institute. The proposals were formally submitted to NEPA for review, follow-up, and potential implementation.
In response, Mr. Maiwandi welcomed the Institute’s environmental initiatives and expressed appreciation for its policy-oriented contributions. He assured that the proposed environmental plans would be carefully reviewed and considered for implementation and further action.
This engagement reflects GGSIO’s commitment to advancing Green Governance through evidence-based policy proposals, institutional collaboration, and strategic environmental partnerships at the national level.
