About Us

Who We Are

The Good Governance Studies Institute–Organization (GGSIO) is an independent, non-profit research and capacity-building organization established in November 2017 and registered in Afghanistan.

Founded by Ahmad Etemadi, GGSIO is one of the first institutions in the country dedicated specifically to the study, promotion, and institutionalization of good governance principles.

The Institute operates with a strong focus on inclusive leadership and women’s empowerment. GGSIO works at the intersection of research, policy dialogue, civic engagement, and institutional capacity development to strengthen governance systems, promote accountability, and enhance social resilience in Afghanistan.
